Before and After: What Happened To Nike Air Foamposite Retro Black Cactus

The “new” Nike Air Foamposite One Retro Black/Cactus

VS

The “old” Nike Air Foamposite Ones Penny Black/Cactus

Foam Composite Penny Hardaway in Black and Cactus

What the deuce???!!?!?!1!!!??1?!!! Nike, how in the hell could you think that “bright cactus” would be better than “cactus green”? I think this is one of those situations that Nike should have did some research to find out what people were saying about the preview of the sneaker image.

You have the internet and you have buyers who are very obviously lead users when it comes to your products… why in the great wide world of sports would you change the look of a sneaker that was getting all types of praise?

Take a look at some of the comments on Sneakerfiles:

nike ruined a classic… these shud b thrown in tha dumpster

The other negative comments are just not postable her. There are some positive ones but at the end of the day there are more negative and more negative ones are also very sharp against this as oppossed to just not liking them.

Currently the brighter cactus is on sale on Nike’s Members Only site. 200 dollars. Now if you include shipping and any taxes you might have to pay… well you do the math. All I am saying is that I was saving money to buy this thing and now I guess I’ll just pay a bill or something… maybe I’ll get the Jordan Playoffs.

  1. I liked the clear soles i think it would have done better for some people but I have all the foamposites in deadstock conditon including the “original voltages” I think Nike did well and this may be one of the best shoes ever made. The color is perfect just wait like a year when they are gone everyone is going to wish they had a pair.

Just copped them, and gave them right back. The solid green makes these shoes sooooooooooo fkn ugly. I couldn’t stand to shell over $200 for this concoction. Nike, where da fk are the clear bottoms?!?!?!?
